Job Details
Responsibilities
- Assist in the provision of housing management services and support to vulnerable residents, their families and carers.
- Work with Housing Officers, Income Maximisation Officers, Neighbourhoods Team and internal council staff to support vulnerable residents.
- Engage with contractors to ensure repairs, building maintenance and planned works are carried out
- Referrals to and from: third party statutory and non-statutory services: including, social services, and mental health teams. DWP, Police, hospitals, care homes and other relevant agencies
- Liaise with and or advise senior members of staff regarding service issues, problems and processes
- Direct contact with members of the public including dealing with challenging situations where influence may be needed.
Requirements
- Experience of working in voluntary or public housing service.
- Experience of carrying out risk assessments, writing support plans and protecting vulnerable adults and children
- Experience of giving complex advice on a range of issues face to face to the public.
- Experience of coordinating resources and services to assist vulnerable residents.
Contract
- Initial 3 to 6 month contract with the opportunity to extend
- PAYE via Umbrella
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
