Rough Sleeper Cooridnator
South West London 
Part Time - 21 hours 
Responsibilities 

  • Maintains and develops a range of internal and external contacts in the provision of services and projects, particularly those involved in the direct delivery of the Rough Sleeper Initiative (RSI), the Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programme (RSAP), and any other initiatives introduced in relation to service provision for rough sleepers. This includes local service providers, Police, Public Health, Adult Social Care, Safer Kingston Partnership, and Housing Benefit.
  • Coordinates the work of voluntary and statutory partners across the borough with the aim of reducing rough sleeping.
  • Contributes to the development of a robust and accurate method of evidencing the impact of the RSI and RSAP with partners and MHCLG leads, focusing on initiatives, policies, and procedures to support improved service provision and outcomes for rough sleepers.
  • Responds to enquiries in relation to data, information, and risk from internal and external agencies in a timely manner.
  • Provides reports on complex issues, data, and cases.
  • Stays abreast of changes in legislation and regulations that affect rough sleeping populations.
  • Drafts protocols and procedures with internal and external agencies so that good practice is disseminated to relevant stakeholders and ensures smooth pathways for rough sleepers.
  • Maintains an overarching view of rough sleeper numbers in accommodation and on the street, including those with no recourse to public funds.
  • Monitors, develops, and oversees move-on plans, ensuring voids are kept to a minimum in both rough sleeper emergency and interim accommodation (shared and self-contained).

Requirements 
  • Previous experience of working with and providing services for rough sleepers
  • A sound working knowledge of the issues and complexities facing individuals who are experiencing rough sleeping
  • Previous experience of contract management and monitoring
  • Previous experience of the commissioning process, ideally in housing, homelessness or similar sector
  • Confident in challenging ways of working, with an understanding of the bigger picture in terms of the Corporate context and external environment

Contract 
  • Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract 
  • PAYE via Umbrella 
  • 21 HOURS per week 
  • Hybrid position
