Site Engineer – Civils
Nottingham/Derby
£35,000 - £45,000 (Permanent)
Our client is a leading Civil Engineering and Construction company delivering high-quality projects across the UK and Ireland. With offices in both Northern Ireland and the East Midlands, they operate across a range of sectors, including Commercial, Residential, Civils, and Water Infrastructure.
Due to continued success and growth, they have an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer to join their team. This role will be based in the East Midlands, primarily in Nottinghamshire. You will play a key role in their team, developing your skills and experience as a successful Site Engineer. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will also benefit from the support and guidance of the wider team.

The Role
- Involvement in various aspects of earthworks, drainage, foundations, and substructure works.
- Planning, scheduling, and managing subcontractor operations.
- Accurately quantifying and ordering materials.
- Ensuring progress on-site aligns with programme deadlines.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards are met.
- Staying up to date with industry best practices and implementing guidance across the team.
- Maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS), policies, and procedures.
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required.
- Proactive and accountable, taking responsibility for projects from start to finish.
- Deadline-driven, with the ability to motivate a team to achieve key targets.
- Degree in Construction Engineering and Management or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience in adoptable drainage and roads.
- Residential and Commercial experience preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Total Station.
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Full driving licence.
