Key Responsibilities:
- Total Reward Strategy: Develop and implement reward strategies aligned with council objectives. Conduct market analysis and develop a new Pay & Grading framework.
- Collaboration: Align reward programmes with business goals. Provide guidance on compensation and benefits, and promote the council’s reward proposition.
- Analysis and Reporting: Analyse data, monitor programme effectiveness, and prepare reports.
- Job Evaluation: Lead job evaluation panels and conduct benchmarking exercises.
- Reward Programmes: Manage reward and recognition programmes, including salary reviews.
- Training and Development: Train HR team members and managers on reward topics.
- Compliance: Stay current on trends, ensure compliance with legislation, and uphold best practices.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of reward strategies and job evaluation methodologies.
- Experience in job evaluation and reward management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
- Degree in Human Resources or relevant field, with certifications preferred.
