Home Improvement Chargehand / Supervisor
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Chargehand / Supervisor to join our Home Improvement Team. This is a hands-on supervisory role overseeing and delivering component replacement works across our housing stock, including kitchens, bathrooms, boilers, rewires, roofing, doors, and windows.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong trade background, proven supervisory experience, and excellent organisational skills. The ideal applicant will be confident working independently, liaising with teams and tenants, and using Microsoft Excel for reporting and updating trackers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support operatives to deliver high-quality home improvement works.
  • Ensure all works are completed to required standards and within project deadlines.
  • Liaise effectively with the Asset Management Support Team for efficient job scheduling.
  • Maintain compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service in a tenant-facing environment.
  • Accurately record and report progress using Microsoft Excel.
Essential Criteria
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Strong trade background, ideally within social housing.
  • Experience in a tenant/customer-facing role.
  • Knowledge of regulations and manufacturer instructions relating to trade works.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
  • Two references (including one from your most recent employer).
