HR Business Partner (Children's)
Location: North West London
Rate: £390 per day (Umbrella)
Contract: 3-month ongoing contract
Working Pattern: Hybrid Working
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Vox Consultants are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a Local Authority in North West London, providing strategic HR support to the Children's Division.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a strong local government background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing complex employee relations, organisational change, and leading HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic HR Business Partner support to the Children's Directorate.
  • Lead on complex employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and sickness cases.
  • Support and deliver organisational change, restructures and workforce transformation projects.
  • Develop, review and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice.
  • Build strong relationships with senior managers, providing proactive HR advice and guidance.
  • Lead on workforce planning, organisational development and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Line manage and support members of the HR team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Ensure HR practices remain compliant with employment legislation and Council policies.
  • Keep up to date with changes in employment law, HR best practice and organisational policy.
About You
  • Previous experience working as an HR Business Partner within a Local Authority or public sector organisation.
  • Significant experience supporting Children's Services.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations casework.
  • Experience leading organisational change and transformation programmes.
  • Previous line management experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
  • CIPD Level 5 (minimum), with Level 7 desirable.
