Planning and Highways Lawyer

Vox Consultants are hiring for a Planning and Highways Lawyer for a Local Authority based in Northamptonshire.
Please note, this is a Contract opportunity and only apply if you have the Right to Work in the UK and has relevant experience.

You will be:

• Providing legal counsel to the council and its departments on planning and highway matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Drafting legal agreements, preparing and reviewing agreements like Section 106 agreements (developer contributions) and Section 278 agreements (highway improvements), ensuring they align with council policies and objectives.
• Assisting with planning applications, advising on the legal side and address any potential challenge.
• Representing the Council in public inquiries, hearings and appeals relating to planning and highways matters.
• Advising on enforcement of planning conditions and highway regulations.

Essentials:

• Law Degree is essential.
• Completion of LPC or the Bar Training Course is required for the UK.
• Admission as a solicitor or barrister is necessary.
• Relevant work experience previously in the planning/ highways team for a Local Authority.
• Right to work in the UK and don’t require a Visa Sponsorship.
